AmeriPro’s long-term commitment to inspector training and staff development has been a key to our success. All inspectors complete a combination of class room training, DVD distance training, online testing / examinations in addition to apprenticeship training. We also only choose inspectors with past construction experience or credentialing. We use our on-site, hands-on training center and fully-stocked library to enhance the learning objectives for every inspector that works for AmeriPro.

Here is an overview of our training to ensure every client gets the best and most experienced inspector on every inspection.

All of our inspectors have a background in the inspection, engineering, contracting, etc. industries prior to joining our team. Regardless of their background, each of our inspectors must complete the Inspection Depot Training Institute’s 6-Day Home Inspection class room and distance learning Training Program in addition to its 5-Day Hands-On Training Program. We also provide an additional 40 hours of new construction code inspection training. All inspectors must complete the examinations from each course completed, in order to move into the next phase of training. Following initial training, each inspector must complete AmeriPro’s Six-Week Boot Camp which includes report writing, mentoring, mock inspections and additional testing.

We review:
- Technical requirements
- Ensure the inspector has the necessary tools required
- Outline AmeriPro’s Ethics and Standards of Practice
- Go over customer service issues and practices
- AmeriPro policies and procedures
- Inspection reporting
- Quality control
- Software training
- Multiple online exams to test knowledge across various areas

Once the inspector has completed “Boot Camp,” they are ready to begin inspecting with a senior inspector. Following the completion of at least 10 inspections under the supervision of the senior inspector, they are evaluated and can begin completing inspections on their own.

Since new technology, standards and more are consistently changing, we also require our inspectors to complete annual continuing education through any of the major industry associations to ensure our inspectors are up to date with the latest industry advances.

AmeriPro also has several contracts with entities requiring special inspection services. For these contracts, all inspectors must complete separate training requirements and attend additional seminars as needed.
